Trash to Treasure

I am blown away by the generosity of my fellow neighbors right now. In this economic slump, I am getting daily posts of people giving away great stuff to those who know where to look for it. For FREE! Check out Freecycle.org and see what fabulous stuff you can find. I've been using this mailing list (on Yahoo groups) for about 2 years now and have gotten everything from some barely used kids clothes and toys to maternity wear, a double stroller, and a carseat cover. I have met the nicest people too and have become friends with a few. Plus, while cleaning out my garage and storage unit, we were able to give a new home to a few office chairs, some shelving, a cat condo, some landscape edging, drinking glasses and so much more stuff that we had been collecting, but were honestly never going to use. This is an awesome group for keeping otherwise good stuff from going in the landfill. Visit the site to get linked up with one of the freecycle groups in your area. You can actually sign up for those in your surrounding area too if you are willing to drive a bit further to go pick up things. Sometimes it is definitely worth it. Just wanted to share in case some of you out there still haven't come across this great resource.
